"The Course [in Miracles] does not aim at teaching the
meaning of love, for that is beyond what can be taught. It
does aim, however, at removing the blocks to the awareness
of love's presence, which is your natural inheritance."

"When you have totally communicated all the "bad" things and
all the "good" things you can think of, and your mind is
totally cleared of all that you have been withholding from
others in your life, you will find that the bottom line is
"I love you".... To stay in the experience that you love
someone, simply never withhold any communication."

Spirituality and Love Relationships
My ultimate purpose for
promoting healthy relationships is that people develop a
closer relationship with what I’ve experienced as "our
spiritual nature". All things fall into place if we are
deeply in touch with our spiritual nature.
I’ve had some profound
experiences of our spiritual nature. In those
experiences I have discovered some distinctions about
being connected with spirit.
I make a distinction between “having a glimpse” of our
spiritual nature and “having a profound experience” of
it. A profound experience of our spiritual nature
dramatically alters one’s experience of life.
Below are some thoughts I
have about spirituality and relationships.
In the moment of
profound spiritual connectedness, everything falls
into place and there is only love, joy, peace and
acceptance of all that is.
In that connection to spirit, I have a renewed
commitment to contributing to the world, to the
people in my life.
All worldly things pale to the experience of being
present to our spiritual self. I know of nothing
bigger, or of more value.
Only in moments am I deeply present to our spiritual
nature. Many other moments I get a glimpse.
Generally, I’m somewhat or completely out of touch
I have found that in any relationship where we agree
to openly address whatever has us feel disconnected
with one another, we will have frequent glimpses of
our spiritual nature. Sometimes we have deeper
experiences than “glimpses”, although not
necessarily life altering.
I believe a love relationship is one of the best
vehicles for finding a deeper connection to our
Underneath our angers and resentments is always a
loving, caring person who is stuck in the pain of fear,
hurt, and misperception. In my experience, enlightened
communication allows space for the expression of those
fears, hurts, and misperceptions. Enlightened
communication is like holding a candle of light that
draws out the loving, spiritual person within.
